Our Little Pumpkin

Ronan's first Halloween was super social and blessed with picture-perfect SF weather. Great-Aunt Kathie and Great-Uncle Brad visited us from Virginia. It was so wonderful to catch up over Burmese food, brisk walks, and a blissful talkative baby. On Saturday afternoon, we dropped by our friends Scott & Brisen's annual pumpkin-carving brunch cum all-day party. It was funny to be the "domestic couple with a kid." While our friends drank bloody marys and margaritas, we played with Ronan, nursed him, helped him stand and jump, and sat next to him in a darkened bedroom while he napped for an hour. Whew. It's a wild and crazy life we lead.

Ronan humored us by staying in his pumpkin outfit for about an hour.

What is this thing I'm in?

Ronan's first visit to the pumpkin patch! (He was more interested in playing with mom's purse and dodging the blinding sunlight than gawking at giant gourds....)

Okay, okay, we had to get a shot of him next to a pumpkin!

This is very clearly one of Ronan's two favorite toys. The other one (a round orange blob with a mirror on one side and a plastic link on the other) needs to get wrung out and dried once in a while! He's pretty happy now that he can use his teeth to "chew" things....

Oh wait! Found a shot of Ronan and Favorite Toy #1.
