15-16 months

He looks so grown-up and self-assured here!

Last weekend, during the heat wave, we took him to hear the SF Symphony play in Dolores Park. It was about 1000 degrees in San Francisco, and all the shady spots were taken so we sat down in the bright relentless sun and sweated to classical music. For the most part, Ronan opted to sit in his stroller (the only shade around!) but towards the end, he couldn't take it any longer and he crawled out to bark at dogs (his latest thing) and sign for "hot." Our car was 106 degrees when we got back in...

Ronan is deceptively tall. Deceptive because, well, he's usually on all fours racing around. Now that he's standing more, and taking a few steps at a time, we see that he can reach many, many things that haven't been childproofed yet. Like door knobs, stove controls, dishwasher and microwave buttons.... He's wearing 2T and 3T clothes and he just turned 16 months. Yikes!

Man on the move! Here he is pushing his little toy car, which Pam and Ken got him for his 1st birthday and which he's only recently started using.

We went shopping one day and didn't have a chance to put away the groceries before the little guy got to them. He pulled out the long baguette and started chowing down right then and there. Like mother, like son... :-)

Mmm.... yummy carbs.

One of the few pics of Gen, Kristine, and Ronan from K's July visit. (At this particular moment, he was squirming and whining to get down.)
