Early Golfer

Could Ronan be the sports lover that his parents never were? Furthering our belief that (many) little boys come pre-programmed to love cars, trucks, balls, and sports, Ronan tried out a little golf tonight! One of his characteristics is to work at something very, very intently and intensely until he feels like he's good at it. So he "practiced" his ball placement and swing carefully, watching where and how far the ball rolled. His putter was a giraffe-tipped stick that makes funny groaning sounds when you tilt it up and down. His ball was a pink bouncy ball! We have no idea where he saw the game of golf; we think he made it up on his own.

Other "sports" that he's starting to enjoy: "softball" with the same giraffe stick and pink ball, though he misses the ball when he swings... :-/ I think he'd love one of those standing ball holders that you can walk up to and whack! Also, "basketball" which he calls "ball ball" and which consists of the dribbling motion with his hands and throwing the ball through someone's arms, "soccer" (kicking the ball to us), and the good ol' game of catch. I don't remember liking any of these before age 12, but hey, I'm a girl... :-)

What a nice follow-through!

Ronan's stayin' alive. Hmm... when the mullet is starting to form, it's time for another haircut. No party in the back for the Ronan!
