B2B

For the first time, we ran the Bay to Breakers as a family! Okay, okay... We walked it. Bennett style. Which means we started at the start line (about an hour after everyone else), walked among all the other back-o'-the-pack revelers, and cut out around Stanyan St. to go home and have a BBQ. It was fantastic! Loved every moment. We hope to continue this in the future, and maybe we'll even go back to running the race...

The beginning

Go, Team Ronan

There were a lot of people.... And I'm sure they loved parting ways to let our enormous jogging stroller (aka, prince Ronan's throne) through!

Can you feel the joy? Ronan is ecstatic to be so close to a fire engine.

Met up with a bunch of our friends, in fetching lederhosen.

It's Snuffy!

We always love seeing the salmon swimming upstream. Here they are close to the start line (aka, their finish line!)

Later that afternoon, since the weather was still sunny, we walked to Stowe Lake from our house. It was dedicated "Ronan time" which means C & I weren't allowed to tell Ronan where to go or what to do. He did exactly what he wanted to do! It's an amazing thing to sit back and watch him figure things out and make his own decisions. On this afternoon, he spent a good 20 minutes playing with a stick, traversing a small stretch of walkway and grass, poking his stick into bushes and rocks. He pretended his stick was a drill, a guitar, and a hammer.
