Getting ready to open presents

Despite having the stomach flu the entire weekend (ugh!), Ronan was in good spirits during the day. Not even tummy troubles could diminish the excitement of opening gifts for a little boy!

Great Grams and her great grandson

Uncle Mundo and Papa Jack - what a handsome pair!

Mmm.... Pernod.

Our very first ornament that we bought together in Carmel in 1997. Cheesy, perhaps, but we love it!

And our first anniversary ornament from 2003

Daddy and Ronan watching The Polar Express
Mama stayed home with Ronan today to make sure the stomach flu was really getting better. Our big excursion was going to Kids Cuts for a cute holiday 'do. Ro was an absolute angel! He sat in the toy race car while Veronica, the friendly hairstylist, trimmed, buzzed, clipped, sprayed, and combed his locks. He looked like such a little man when she was done! After we left, he smiled from ear to ear and said "I'm so happy, Mommy! Let's go get an ice cream cone!" How could you say no to that? I took him across the street to Mitchell's Ice Cream shop and we sat on the bench outside the shop, licking our ice cream cones and watching the people go by. Though he was under the weather most of the day, it was so special and sweet to be home with him.
