This week has been a big week for the little dude. That's right, folks, he can now grab his feet with his hands! We've been trying to get him to notice those cute little feet for WEEKS.. this little piggy and all that... but he would stare out into space, way past his feet, with his hands jammed in his mouth. A couple days ago, I was changing him and he suddenly did a baby crunch, grabbed his feet, and gave me the biggest grin!
Ronan in motion
On Thursday he started rolling over onto his left side! He did it first with Grandma Kathy. Swung up both arms and both legs (like a baby "U") and then tipped over onto his side. We've found that rolling him onto his tummy is really easy... but getting him from tummy to back -- which the books say comes first -- is an awkward process. He tends to gasp and flail.
Mmmm... fingers...
These days everything he touches goes straight into his mouth, like his soft fuzzy turtle/frog below (we're not sure what it is... a frog with spots? a turtle out of his shell?). Ronan must be teething. He'll completely soak his whole face and anything that comes near him -- bib, toy, fingers, sheets... He's also into grabbing Mom's hair and pulling the fitted sheet (tasteful substitute for curtains - haha) off his window.
Look! I'm in my dinosaur outfit and I'm eating a turtle!
One of these days we'll figure out how to edit and maybe post our video clips because Ronan LOVES standing up and jumping (with help of course!). He gets so excited that he starts to pant! A few days ago he started doing a fast, hopping two-foot stomp... very Riverdance. Move over, Michael Flatley, here comes Ronan Bennett. :-)
