Immunity: Really worth it??!

The month of September.... where did that go? Ronan and Mama have been sicker than ever. First, Mama got a bad cold on Sept. 1, then gave it to Ronan, who gave it back to Mama, who then contracted a secondary viral infection with a cough that required multiple doctor's visits and several inhalers. And then, just to make things more complicated, Mama and Daddy got ANOTHER cold and gave it to Ronan. Just when Mama got over the cough and Daddy stopped sniffling, Ronan came down with a high fever, threw up all over the Porsche, and was diagnosed with a "ripe" ear infection in both ears by a nice doctor at the after-hours pediatric clinic last weekend. His very first ear infection at 2.5, poor baby. He kept asking his Daddy to "wipe" his ears and make them all better. So where do we all stand (or lie) now? Mama's all better despite not being able to smell or taste. Daddy's all better. Ronan's on his third day of antibiotics and slowly getting back to his old self. We're told by veteran parents and docs alike that this is standard for the fall/winter season when kids first start school, and that "someday" we'll all have immune systems of STEEL. But ugh! it has been one long and painful month, and I'm not looking forward to the next round of colds that will come around!
